how to lose weight healthy and quick but read details first?

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 by admin

ok im overweight by about 10 to 15 pounds i could lose up to 30 i think but i dont look overweight i have a little extra weight on my belly and inner thighs. that i would love to lose anything besides exercise and eating healthy cause i know that. and oh yeah does building muscle make you loose weight like in my thighs and my abbs. if i did tons of crunches everynight i know i would gain muscle but would i lose weight or does gaining muscle burn fat.
yeah i don really care about the scale that much either? just about if i look fat? lol that sounds kinda shallow but you know hwat i mean

The best range to lose weight in is 1 to 2.5 lbs a week. This will allow your body to accustom itself to the loss and the skin to regain its prestretched stage. Losing weight too quickly will cause the skin of abdomen, chest and inner thighs to sag, possibly dramatically. I don’t personally believe in any of the fad diets that keep showing up. I think that they put your body into an unhealthy famine mode which will cause you to gain the fat right back if you start to eat normally again. The best idea is to eliminate all junk food. You can do a cheat day if you need to but don’t go overboard. Eat balanced meals of reasonable size. Overeating will cause your stomach to be too large and you will still feel hungry when you’re not. Also have lots of healthy snacks during the day. Ideally you’ll want to eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day. Carry food with you so you aren’t tempted to eat unhealthily when you’re out of the house. And don’t buy unhealthy foods. Get foods that are low in bad fats—we do need fat to survive but not saturated fat. Minimize the processed flours and sugars, no white bread, no sugar. Choose leaner meats and protein sources. Don’t expect to eat pizza and burritos all the time and lose weight. And eat tons of vegetables. Eat salads, steamed vegetables and raw vegetables too. You can’t eat so much celery that you’ll get fat. Don’t eat too much fruit or things containing high fructose corn syrup. The reason is that fructose is hard on the liver because it can only be metabolized there. You can eat fruit during or after a workout. Don’t eat late at night because your body will turn it into fat. Eat a smaller amount of calories than needed to maintain your weight. You have burn more than you intake. Always exercise. Cardio especially, but weights are good too. Don’t give up. You’ll be glad you chose to lose the weight.

How many calories should you eat to lose weight?

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 by admin

I need to lose weight rather quickly but I don’t want to starve myself. I’m 18 and 5’3. What is the minimum amount of calories I should be eating without my body going into starvation mode? I want to eat the least amount possible without it being unhealthy.

Soccer Sport – A regular soccer game is 90 minutes long. Though friendly games might be shorter, it is still a great way to lose weight. Try to play it sincerely as you will have to do a lot of running, jogging and walking while playing soccer. Professional soccer players can burn between 500 and 800 calories in an hour. While you might not burn that much, it is definitely a great way to burn at least a couple of hundred calories. The game is also a very interesting game and most people fall in love with it once they give it a try.

Specific exercises that help to lose weight quickly?

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 by admin

Now by quickly, I also mean safely. I am 14, about 5’3", and weigh around 140 pounds. I have a slightly larger build, but I do have quite a big belly that I’m very uncomfortable with my weight. What kinds of exercises should I do, and how should I change my eating habits? I have been eating better and have been in a heavy dancing show which has helped me lose about 5 pounds, but it’s over now.

I’m 12, weigh 144, and am 5’5". I do too, I hate my weight and since school let out I have been doing 50 sit-ups every night and running around the yard one lap and through the path cut in our woods (we own about 5acers). And have only lost 5lbs:/

How can lose up to 25 naturally in less than 2 months?

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 by admin

Hi. I am a 17 year old guy and I believe I am 180 pounds. I am 5’5". I know I am 20-30 pounds over weight. What is the best way for me to naturally lose up to 25 pounds in less that 2 months? I need to lose weight before I go to college or the military (hope not the military). Can somebody please help me.

My understanding is that your body can take around 2-3 #/wk of weight loss and handle changes to your skin, etc., so I’d shoot for the 3#/wk figure (or 24# over 8 weeks).

The problem most people have is that they take in more calories than they burn; the rate is low, pound-wise (hence, it’s called "creeping weight gain"), but it builds up over time. Also, the number of calories is such that it’s hard to stop the creep by doing ONLY dieting OR exercise (and even harder to REVERSE the creep and lose what you gained from it!).

So the best thing is to reduce intake calories AND increase your activity level. Caloric reduction need not lead to a sense of being hungry, if you eat a variety of foods but watch portions, and if you use fruits, vegetables, soups, salads, etc., to help keep you feeling full.

This stuff is pretty well known, but you should definitely avoid fad weight loss "diets"…dieting generally doesn’t work because it isn’t the lifestyle change you need it to be, and dieting in terms of semi-starving yourself actually works _against_ you by triggering ancient "programming" of our bodies which says, "Hey, food is scarce! Better preserve as much fat as I can!" So be sane, OK?

How can I easily lose weight?

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 by admin

I’ve gained like 40 (omg i know) pounds over the summer and I want to lose some of it. I can’t go on one of those programs, and i have to make due with whatever’s at my house. I don’t often exersice but only when i REALLy need to, and I’m willing to. So can someone please help me? I’m willing to give up my whole day to exersize! I just need guidence. someone hellp! :]

Um…first of all there is no "easy" way to lose weight. Second of all, how do you gain that much weight over 2 months? What were you eating? You must exercise if you want to lose weight. The best way to do this is to join a gym, if you are really serious about losing weight. Start running, power walking, anything that’s out of your house! When you join a gym, start taking aerobic classes there, such as Zumba Fitness (the funnest way to workout!!! seriously check it out), yoga (an excellent way to train your body), pilates, core training…etc. You must join a gym! I can’t stress that enough because working out at home will not motivate you. Being around other people who are trying to get in shape will help you achieve your goal and give you some accountability. One of the other VERY important things is to eat healthy!! You CANNOT lose weight eating crap! Rule of thumb: Burn more calories than you eat in a day.

Hope you follow these tips because I guarantee if you work really hard, you will see a result.

Will I lose weight my running 1 or 2 miles a day?

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 by admin

I’m 16 years old, I weigh about 138 and i’m 5’5(medium built). When I run 1 mile it takes me 22 minutes at an aerobic pace (2.7 mph) I burn 243 calories, my RPM is about 6 and 43 carbs are burned(it tells be all this stuff on my walking thing. its not like a tredmill its a little different) so that’s 1701 calories burned in a week if I run 1 mile each day and I’m going to eat between 1200-1300 calories each day. I want to lose 1 or 1.5 pounds each week. My goal weight is to be 125 pounds by the time of July 1st.Or Do I have to run 2 miles and burn 486 calories each day to burn 1 or 1.5 pounds each week??? I get 35 mins of a work out at school (fittness training) so its not like i’m not just sitting on the couch and I also do marching band 2 times a week and ride horse. but will this running help me get to 125 in no problem? thanks icon biggrin Will I lose weight my running 1 or 2 miles a day?

The key to losing weight, is to have your calorie outtake larger than your intake.
For example, if you’re eating 2,000 calories, and burning 1,800, then you’re on the right track.
Along with exercise, the key to weight loss is eating healthy/in moderation. One thing my doctor has told me multiple times is that there’s nothing better to kick start your metabolism and get it going at an athletes rate is to just eat a handful of walnuts in the morning. With the Omega 3 fatty acids as well as the proteins you gain it’s the equivalent of eating a breakfast and will get your digestive system running and burning more fat throughout the day…

I hope what I said could help.

Will eating these foods help me lose weight?

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 by admin

If I eat a Fruit Salad for breakfast, Lettuce and tomato for lunch, water melon and grapes for an afternoon snack and then boiled vegetables for dinner everyday would this result in weight loss?
I’ve been doing it for two days so far (defiantly more to come) plus exercising so would I see a result?
Thankyou icon smile Will eating these foods help me lose weight?

Yes you should.
You should get results soon!

How long does it take to lose weight from a single workout?

Posted on December 22nd, 2011 by admin

My question is on a few different levels. Please feel free to be longwinded because I really want to learn about this.

I’ve been losing weight over the last 2 months on diet alone. I’ve lost about 12 pounds this way. I understand how this works – you can lose weight by reducing caloric intake and changing the types of foods you eat.

What I want to understand is how exercise makes you lose weight. I have the beginnnings of understanding on this – that you’re burning calories with the exercise…like if you eat 1400 calories in a day and you burn 300 then your body only thinks you have eaten 1100, right?

But then how do all those old calories come off? The ones from three months ago that made me gain weight?

On the same vein, if i’ve only been losing weight with diet (steadily), and then i have one really good workout, when will it be reflected in my weight? I’m not saying I expect to lose all my weight with one workout, I’m trying to simplify the question.

You burn calories at rest. The higher your metabolism, the more calories you will burn while exercising, and the more you will burn at rest, the idea is to raise your metabolism.
If you just QUIT eating, your body will go into starvation mode and think to itself "HEY no food coming in… all systems SLOW down we need to conserve what we’ve got" So you have to eat.

If you have good muscle tone it is your goal not to lose it. You want to gain muscle and lose fat. Muscle also weighs more than fat, so instead of going so much by the ‘scale’, you should be judging progress by how your clothes fit instead.

So a person needs to eat… healthily. Every 4 hours, so you dont have that low blood sugar ‘crashing’ thing going on. No sugar, little fat, a lot of greens and veggies, drink much fluids (64 ounces a day plus an extra 8 ounces for every 20 pounds overweight), a ‘deck of cards’ sized portion worth of protein every day (only one day a week red meat) and complex carbohydrates (whole grains).
IF you are taking in less food than the 2500 calories a person of normal weight would eat, then it is logical to assume you would be taking in less vitamins than you need, SO you need a daily vitamin supplement.
The ideal exercise regimen would include 30 minutes of walking daily, three times a week aerobic training (get heart-rate up)
and two or three times a week weight training. All this can be done at home (without a gym) but a gym with a personal fitness trainer is always nice. Oprah has one, why shouldn’t YOU?
Also don’t forget about:
-stress (dont need that… laughter best medicine, stay in good humor, be happy)
-rest (need to sleep and get those REMs)
-not smoking
-little alcohol or caffiene

I also say that you should do things to make yourself happy, like a nice hair trim (trip to salon for facial manicure pedicure etc.)
buy a nice new shirt every time you lose five pounds and get your teeth bleached at the dentist office.
Good luck on reaching your goal and congratulations on your progress thus far.

Eat to Lose Weight – Nature’s Sunshine – Linda Luca, CNHP

Posted on December 20th, 2011 by admin

0 Eat to Lose Weight Natures Sunshine Linda Luca, CNHPLinda Luca, CNHP from www.His-n-Herbs.com, 800-261-9740.

Some think that skipping meals is an efficient way to lose weight but, actually, the opposite is true! When you skip meals and don’t eat, your metabolism slows, making weight loss more difficult. I know that it’s hard to get started on any weight-loss program, but you must re-set your mind so that you can understand that eating well is the best way to lose weight.

Here are 3 tips to help you improve your attitude about eating:

1. Eat 3 HEALTHY meals a day…breakfast, lunch and dinner;

2. Eat HEALTHY snacks between meals…foods such as raw veggies, fresh fruit, raw nuts and seeds;

3. Drink at least 8 glasses of pure water every day.Applying these 3 tips daily will enable you to keep your body burning fat and calories…and you will lose weight! If you are uncertain about which foods are “healthy” and which foods are best for you, you might like to consider scheduling an appointment for a nutritional consultation. I’d be happy to work with you on a one-to-one basis to help you understand which foods are best for your body’s needs. If you’d like more information about the consultations, please don’t hesitate to call me at 800-261-9740 or to e-mail me at Linda@His-n-Herbs.com.

So, please remember…Eat to lose weight…Eat to be healthy…Eat to have fun. Hey, you don’t have to be Italian like me to love food!
