I lost over 50 pounds following the Every Other Day Diet and dieting, yeah, you guessed it, only every other day.
That’s why I made this funny vid, to get the message across and to tell the story of my journey from flab to fit with more than a little help from our Caveman cousins :
My first reaction to the Every Other Day Diet was probably the same as most peoples : yeah, right !.
Eat the foods I love and still lose weight ? No Way !
I admit, after all of the traditional diets and different weight loss programs that I have put my body through, I was more or less resigned to being overweight and out of condition for the rest of my life.
Well, I went from 240 lbs to a trim 196 lbs in a little over 5 months and it has stayed off. Even today, almost 18 months later, I still follow the EODD. Not as faithfully as I did during my big weight loss phase if I am totally honest, but I still do it..and do you know why ?
Because I like it — It works for me and I still get to eat all the different types of food (good and bad) that I always have enjoyed.
Do not kid yourself though — You will have to do some exercise and I will be totally honest with you, the thought of it filled me with dread. But, I started by walking a little bit then I tried running. Well, jogging really, but it was not for me !!
So, I invested in a second-hand bicycle and I have not looked back since. A few bike rides a week, usually on Diet days and that is all that’s needed. And do you know what, I like it. It helps me to clear my mind and, a brisk early morning ride helps me to plan my day.. Look, if I can do it, you can — trust me on that !!
